EURODOC is a training programme specifically
designed for co-producing creative documentaries at the international level.
Producing documentaries requires increasingly more funding which is difficult
to find nationally, whatever the size of the country. Constant training remains
EURODOC is a documentary think-tank covering a wide variety of narrative styles
and production modes with the aim of defending the documentary genre. The
objective of the EURODOC International programme*,
which was started several years ago is to help professionals develop new areas
of cooperation and exchange points of view. By welcoming non-European
participants in the training cycle, the idea is to actively help new
generations of producers and commissioning editors extend the network.
Today EURODOC is a strong and influential network of more than 670
professionals from 52 countries.
*Created in 2009, initially with the support of the preparatory action of MEDIA
International and since 2011 with the support of the programme
MEDIA Mundus, EURODOC International is now open to 5
non-European producers each year.
Every year, 30 independent producers and representatives in charge of
supporting the documentary production in Europe and abroad take part in 3 one-week training sessions with
experienced tutors and experts who play influential roles in the current
audiovisual and documentary field.
In 2012, these 3 one-weeks sessions will be :
SESSION 1 – Development / March 2012 - Belgium
SESSION 2 – Budgeting, Financing, & Packaging / June 2012 - Germany
SESSION 3 – Meeting the Commissioning Editors / September 2012 - France

Deckert (producer & distributor for MA JA DE Film
produktion, Germany) are the tutors of the two
